Making other people happy is an addiction that eventually gets the better of me. So I am learning and relearning how to take care of me. If all I do is focus on why someone else isn’t smiling, I will eventually forget what it takes to make me smile. And if I’m not happy, then how on the goddess’ green earth can I possibly make anyone else happy? So I might as well start with me. I have so much ridiculous guilt about self care, but with reflection it dissolves a little more each day.
